the river flows by

i plucked a rose
and touched your eyes with it
the rose bloomed redder
at the touch of your sleep hungry blood shot eyes.
i remember this
as if it happened tomorrow
............
Also, each time the tide rises in the sea
i know, again you have dropped a tear
in memory of our one winter afternoon
spent in the sun.
......
That6 afternoon still remains
as a dried up, puckered orange
in the fruit basket
hung by my kitchen door.
By the kitchen window
i again wait for the summer night
we spent last winter

evenings

sometime
my favourite evening is the one
where the day meets the night
and sometime
my favourite evening is the one
where the night meets the day
....
one reminds me of how you knock at my door
the other of how i open the door for you

and i still wait for you

the moon shivers in the cold moonlight
the stars twinkle by.
the bird awaits the dawn
awake in its nest.
the boat and the moon sails by
into the night, away from dawn.

And i still wait for you...

the last lines

i cried, motionless and still
and as i smiled again with all my will
the tears in my heart i bore
long after they were shed no more
-- based on the last lines of THE SOLITARY REAPER

dreams

Dreams on a run.
You can see them
in the stars, the moon and the clouds.
In the eyes.
..
Everywhere the dreams go,
they leave behind ashes
of their sun kissed feet.
You can see them...
