a modern life

Oh the plight of a modern life!
i still fall in love, like a gal in the yesteryear
and my heart gets broken, like in the yesteryear
but i am a modern gal
i celebrate the sadness with a full bottle of wine, alone
and some puffs, white and grey
i stay awake the wide night
listening to sufi and pink
but the plight of a modern life!
morning i again put on my mascara, my fake smile and my best hair
and go to office and flirt with that asshole
the plight of a modern life !
he cracks a good joke, i laugh my fake laugh;
fake but classy and the right degree of sexy
i meet clients, shake their hands and ignore that half of them are stoned
(may be they too have broken hearts and have spent the night with the ghulams & jagjits),
lunch with my colleagues and bitch about my boss whom i actually like; she is very reasonable
Ignore my mother's call because i am supposed to be busy and  have no time for personal calls
( i am actually spending my time on his facebook wall, waiting for his new update)
And here its irrelevant but lemme tell you...
Actually, this whole episode is irrelevant
afterall this is a modern love
and the only thing relevant here is that
this is a modern life
where all relevants are highly irrelevants
