i walk on this path again,
to an evening of promises n dreams
I walk on this path again
With
my heart tied to my left foot,
like an anklet.

it’s a bloody trail I left behind
as my heart bleeds, pierced by
the broken hopes lying strewn on this path
n yet i tread along, my heart tags along
coz the promise of the evening lures me
the dream of the evening pulls me
to its quagmire of frenzied emotions
n i walk towards it with my bleeding heart
knowing full well, soon i will be lost in it
like a death lost in its lover’s arm
yes, this is a beautiful evening
and i walk on this path agian
